Heroes of Faith

We hear much about superheroes these days. Our friendly neighbor Spiderman. The Man of Steel from planet Krypton. Kids crazy about the TV series Heroes, wanting to be like Hiro who can travel through time or Nathan who had the power of flight.

Other than finding the characters attempting to be ordinary people, who live ordinary lives, despite their extraordinary abilities, what draws us to them are their noble hearts – their selfless pursuit to save humanity from imminent catastrophe and win the fight of good over evil.

But hey, don’t you think there is that “hero” in each of us? Imperfect, yeah. Nevertheless, yearning to be mightily used by God to reflect His love and goodness in a world deeply aching in pain and loneliness.

Well, that’s what HEROES OF FAITH is all about. A week-end get-away for our professionals last Nov 30 – Dec 2 at the cool and breezy slopes of Antipolo.

It was a time to be renewed physically as we took off from our busy schedules, a time to be renewed spiritually as well through our heart-stirring devotions on bible heroes like Daniel and Joseph. The Team Building discussions and group dynamics further challenged us to greater heights of teamwork and synergy. And not only were we moved to tears as we watched “Facing the Giants” (definitely a must-see movie!) but we were also moved to trust God for the impossible!

The true test though is “where the rubber meets the road,” so they say. The front-line arena of the workplace is where the Daniels and Josephs are purified through the furnace of fire. Thus our session on “Values and Perspectives in Building Movements in the Marketplace” - equipping our disciples to shine in the workplace!

That’s me ☺ teaching the session on “Values and Perspectives in Building Movements in the Marketplace”

Please pray for our disciples to walk strongly in God and to make a powerful impact in the business community.

With you in helping to fulfill the Great Commission in the workplace,

Juliet
